Use it in a conversation
For regular verbs, keep the infinitive, removing the final -e from -re verbs. Add the same endings to irregular stems such as ser-, aur-, ir-, and fer-. Unlike English, French uses the future after quand when referring to a future event.
Je serai là à neuf heures.
I will be there at nine.
Quand tu arriveras, nous préparerons le café.
When you arrive, we will make the coffee.
Ils vendront leur voiture cet été.
They will sell their car this summer.
Common mix-ups
Aller uses ir- in the future; the ending still agrees with the subject.
We will go to the market.
